Where the magic happens

The ThomasARTS Multimedia department offers an extensive variety of skill sets and software expertise in production, creative execution and delivery of photo, audio, video and animation projects for our teams.

We offer skill sets in areas of specific hardware, software, engineering, production-oriented management, formatting, editing, compositing and sound design. We follow a "one room" approach to post production, where most capabilities are located in a single room or edit bay. This allows a team to edit a production while adding compositing, special effects or sound edits without having to jump from room to room, as is typical in most production studios.  

Because of this approach, each of our staff members is skilled in several areas. Of course, each member specializes in certain areas based on experience and interest, but all of them have the versatility to work within each area they are asked.

Key software used: Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro, Logic Pro, Motion, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, various After Effects Plug-ins, Apple Color, DVD Studio Pro, Cinema 4D Studio, Lightroom, Aperture, Final Cut Server, Flash, PowerPoint and Keynote.

Key technical skills: Various Apple Mac OS X optimizations, AJA and Matrox HDTV interfaces, Canon EOS digital cameras, RAW file handling, DVD and Blu-ray authoring, encoding, Sony EX cameras, strobe and continuous lighting and audio recording techniques.
